Q: How much preparation do I need to teach this course effectively?
1-2 hours to familiarize yourself with the course and to prepare materials. If you have a basic knowledge of aging and caregiving, this instructor’s handbook provides you with the additional information on LGBT aging needed to adequately prepare for the training session.
Q: How long is the training session?
3 hours including film excerpts from the LGBT aging documentary, “Gen Silent”.
Q: How many film clips are there and how long are they?
There are more than 20 minutes of scenes compellingly placed together into two parts to be shown at specific points in the course.

Objective information about LGBT history and the unique experiences of LGBT seniors that create challenges in intake and caregiving.
Film excerpts from the award-winning documentary, Gen Silent, that illustrate first-hand the unique challenges of LGBT older people.
Exercises for participants to learn how to create welcoming experiences and programs for LGBT older people.
Q: What size group is this curriculum designed for.
16 to 40 individuals. The ideal size is 25-30.
